The title of this is
Burning Bridges.
This is about burning bridges. I have recently been going through a lot in my life, probably not as much as others but we all measure things differently right? So anyways what I think about burning your bridges. People love to have choices in life, we all have them and the more we have the better? Sometimes that isn't always the case and sometimes it is. We can't always have the choices that we want in life though. We cant choose the way our genetics predispose us to act certain ways but we can try to change them. We can change a lot of things. But what about the things you can't change? The decisions we make that are permanent. We are all deep down inside afraid of change to a certain extent. But burning bridges keeps us from limiting our options, limiting that change we all fear. What happens when we have too many choices though? We may hurt more in the long run versus the one or two that may be hurt in the short run. We should try to prevent burning certain bridges like with family, future options, maybe friends and relationships. But who is to say that these things are necessarily helpful to your future. Once we burn a bridge there is nothing we can do. Nothing to look back on, just the future. Even if it was the wrong thing to do we cannot live regretfully. Nothing can be accomplished if you look back on what could have been. We must look to the future and learn from our mistakes, maybe change our standards, and soon we will begin to realize that closing one door opens up many more. It is okay to recognize mistakes we make, and okay to be afraid of that change. But it is NOT okay to live in the past because it will never be the same.
And that is my opinion for the night.
Also the bookstore has been claiming my soul for the last 2 weeks so I haven't been able to post and that makes me sad :(
Two more things:
Thinking about getting a tattoo like this--
And this song to finish the night

I promised and I will deliver
Well here it is! To make up for my lack of blogging for the past week I have watched two series and will give reviews of each because I clearly have no life. Actually I'm supposed to be studying for the GRE but who wants to do that crap? Lol just kidding I will eventually. But first up:
Sacred Blacksmith. Really awesome short series who has a day to do nothing. There are only 12 episodes but it is a cute series about a girl, Cecily Campbell, who is a 3rd generation knight and wants to protect everyone. She inherited the knighthood when her father passed away. She is very strong willed but is kind of helpless in actual battle. Then she meets Luke Ainsworth who is a blacksmith and an awesome swordsman. He is known for his special skills of forging katanas, which are not really popular in the area, with the help of his partner Lisa. He teaches Cecily not willingly how to be stronger in battle and challenges her to become a better knight if she wants to protect the ones she cares for. Another character that comes into play is Aria who is a demon sword that can take a human form. She becomes best friends with Cecily who was ordered to protect her and eventually uses Aria to protect the people. I won't spoil the plot but there are some things in the plot line that will be learned later by the viewer and Cecily herself about the characters she calls her friends. It is cute and the only complaint that I have is that it is too short and that is also due to a lack of a second season. The characters are likable and there is a slightly blooming romance between Cecily and Luke but it isn't explored that much in the first season. I definitely recommend this anime. And it is on Netflix to stream!
And the next is..... Maid Sama! I think I found one of my favorite animes. I love action anime, suspenseful anime, romantic anime usually in a combination. But this is all high school romance so I wasn't sure at first but the characters had me falling in love by the second episode. Misaki is student council president at Seika High which has recently became a co-ed school. She is the first girl student president and a self proclaimed man hater. She wants more girls to come to Seika and in order to do that she needs to clean up the school and the guy's manners along with that. But she carries a secret as well. She has a part time job to support her isngle mother and sister at Maid Latte a maid cafe. She fears that if anyone from the high school were to learn of this then the reputation she worked hard to build would be ruined. She is admired by the girls and teachers and feared/hated by the boys because of her constant changes to the school's image. Takumi Usui one night happened to see Misaki outside of her cafe in her maid outfit and found her to be interesting. Usui is good looking, smart, good at just about everything and turns down girl's proclamations of love just about everyday. He started coming to the cafe where Misaki works and she thinks it is because he is a "perverted alien" and just teasing her. He also says he will not tell anyone her secret because it is his personal pleasure. Though throughout the series we see that Usui is clearly fell for Misaki almost instantly but Misaki is so clueless to her own feelings she calls him a perverted alien, sees him as a burden, and an idiot. But he is always showing up where she needs him the most and eventually starts to realize her feelings for him at the end of the series. It is a beautiful and cute romantic anime. Any girl's fantasy or picture of romance. At least in my book. >:] Usui is definitely in my top 5 male anime characters if not number one. WATCH THIS ANIME ^_^
This man.. lol
That is all it is now time for me to go to bed so I can actually do something productive with my life tomorrow.
Goodnight world!! I love you to the moon and back <3

More of You
This song has been on my mind for a while and I absolutely love it. It only really describes one of my moods for the past month or so. I could add more but I won't display all my problems to the world. We all have our crosses to bear right? Today was really long. After the moving for two days and the beginning of my temporary job I had an 11 hour shift today so needless to say I am exhausted and sore. And on top of all that I missed Trigun Badlands Rumble :( So I am really bummed out about that. I will find a way to get it or watch it though because I had been looking forward to that for the past month.
The highlight of the day? Ice cream, Kaze No Stigma, and looking forward to two days of blissful beach without distractions or work.
I promise I will get back to watching series and giving my reviews on them later but unfortunately I am getting ready for graduate school and that requires the GRE. So for the next couple of weeks I will be studying like crazy, and working at my job and lab.
One more thing: I know there is a large fan base for The Glee Project but I just recently started watching the show and I like it. Now like many many people (mainly girls) out there I am rooting for Damian. BUT I hate to say it but based off what Ryan said that the winner isn't who we would all expect or even who he would expect I think Samuel is going to win. I just don't really see a strong character coming from him though and I don't think I would like his character on Glee. I would have liked to see Hannah win but she was already sent home. And I also liked Marissa but I didn't see much of a character in her either. Anywho que sera sera!

Sucks. It has been a very very long two days of moving up two flights of stairs. Avoid it at all costs. I am going to enjoy the rest of my night and watch Pretty Little Liars ^_^

I forgot
How much I love Gundam SEED. So instead of venturing out for a new anime I decided to finish watching this one because it has been years since I have seen it. I will go ahead and give my synopsis on it for those who have not seen it before. You are never too old or too young to watch Gundam SEED. The story follows two young boy's paths through a war between the Naturals (normal human beings) and the Coordinators (people who have their genes altered before birth to give them special learning capabilities). The war starts as a result of hatred and jealousy of the Naturals towards the Coordinators. It then escalated when the Naturals use a nuclear weapon on one of the agricultural plants home to many Coordinators. We start with the story of Kira Yamato who is a young, intelligent Coordinator that lives in neutral territory. That territory is invaded by Coordinator military forces (ZAFT) to retrieve mobile suits that the earth forces developed. One of the main team members from the team that invades the neutral country happens to be Kira's best friend Athrun Zala. This anime follows the hardships and emotional bearings of war especially on the younger populations who volunteer to fight. Kira fights to protect his friends aboard the earth forces ship the Archangel even though he despises any kind of fighting. Friendships and romance stirs within the bowels of this anime which give it a nice relief from all of the action. I will not give away the ending partly because you should watch it for yourself and partly because I have forgotten what happened. Though I remember now even if this is a highly emotional and fighting anime I truly enjoyed it and can call it one of my favorites.
Oh and I am officially done with summer classes (finally) although I am sad that I will not be able to see some friends I met in my classes as often anymore. Now it is time to pack and study for the GRE. Senior year here I come! ^_^

It's just another day but we choose to make it special
I started running in intervals earlier this summer and I have got to say, I hate running. But I do it anyway because it is healthy and I feel better when I accomplish something like increasing my mile minute or my distance. I had been working on my mile for a while now and because I am not up to a level where I can straight up run then entire way I choose to do intervals of walking and running. I have increased my speed of running over time and the amount of time I run. My best time so far is 12:27 for one mile, which hopefully I will get better. But I had been focusing so much on doing one mile then stopping that I decided to push myself to go two miles today. Of course I sacrificed my speed and the time I run in intervals to one minute each so I wouldn't tire myself out too much. And after hitting that one mile I kept telling myself well after the next minute I will just stop here, well when I reach 20 minutes I will just stop. But all in all I kept going and when I reached the last quarter of a mile I bumped up my speed and kept going until I hit two miles. I am pretty pleased with myself and hope I can get better over time. I still hate running.
On another note, my awesome roommate Brittany sent all of us letters of acceptance to Hogwarts and we received them today. ^_^ She is the best roommate ever.
Now I must go get boxes for packing up!

Life and Love
Life is tough :\ I mean everyone knows this but sometimes it hurts the most when we need to do something that results in us hurting other people for the sake of ourselves. I am not the type of person who would hurt anyone, in fact I hate hurting others. It will be really hard to get over this mountain of mine if I even choose to climb it. But there is always a possibility of more happiness on the other side and on the contrary it could be worse than any other road I have ventured. But life is tough and is full of choices. It is just so hard to make the right decision. I have been feeling a little down these past few weeks because of this so I think I should post something cute to go along with this. I love pretty things ^_^
Picky Picky Person
That's exactly how I feel as far as animes go right now. Sands of destruction has been pretty entertaining so far, it has a different kind of plot than your general anime. Based off of a video game, the world seems to have two different kinds of individuals: beastmen and humans; and neither of them get along. Main characters include a girl named Morte who is labeled to be on this World Destruction Committee (WDC) because she wants to destroy the world and carries a sphere that could actually do it. Kyrie is a boy who is just trying to get by living peacefully but has now been labeled a fugitive with the WDC because of Morte. Even though given the choice later to leave freely and do as they please, Kyrie and a teddy bear named Toppy continue in this quest with Morte to destroy the world.
However interesting this may seem, this certainly has not peaked my interest enough to keep watching it. In fact I have resigned to watching Gundam SEED rather than continuing this series. I will pick a different series soon and stick with it (hopefully).
But for those who may be interested in Sands of Destruction here is a synopsis:

Festivals
Everyone loves festival! The excitement from the music, dancing, food, drink, fireworks, parades and other things leaves everyone feeling closer to the culture they reside in. I would like to experience many different types of festivals around the world sometime in this life. Here's a few I would like to see:
Mardi Gras in New Orleans -I live in the US, I have to see it at least once
Yamayaki in Japan -on the 4th Saturday of January it is a New Years tradition to burn up the entire hill
Festival Au Desert in Mali -dancing, riding camels, games, and poetry and anyone is welcome
Kite Festival in Washington state -it's pretty self explanatory lol
Chinese New Years in China
Chiang Mai Flower Festival in Thailand -everywhere in this town is filled with beautiful flowers
Rio Carnival in Brazil -a festival held right before lent, one of the largest.
Chinese Spring Lantern Festival held in China -this ends the New Years celebration
Cherry Blosson Festival in Japan -festivals are held through the cherry blossom season with food, drink, lanterns
Fallas de Valencia in Spain -fireworks, pageants, and giant paper mache statues being burned for 5 days straight
Holi Festival of Colour in Nepal and India -everyone throws color at each other. It is a spiritual holiday
Water Splashing Festival in China -boat racing, singing, dancing, and of course water splashing to mutually bless each other
Cinco de Mayo in Mexico -self explanatory but celebrated for the battle won over the French
O-Bon Festival in Japan -lanterns and lights set up everywhere to celebrate the dead
La Tomatina in Spain -throwing tomatoes at everyone
Aloha Festival in Hawaii -cultural showcase
And that's just the ones I know about. There is so much culture I have not experienced yet and I am excited to live my live finding out what the world is about. Celebration is everywhere and I intend to find it. :]
Happy August 1st
